Ortofon OM 5E

The classic Ortofon OM Series encompasses three basic cartridges OM 1S, OM 5E and Super OM 5E. With its classic design, the OM moving magnet cartridge has been featured on innumerable hi-fi turntables over many years, and the latest range gives turntable owners easy access to great sound at an affordable price.

The OM Series is the lowest-mass range of moving magnet (MM) cartridges offered by Ortofon, and combined with their minimal design allowing for easy mounting and alignment and clear, loud output for easy pairing with a phono stage, they fully justify their “Optimum Match” (OM) name.

As well as being easy to fit to any tonearm/headshell system, all OM cartridge bodies also benefit from a tiny, removable weight above the mounting bracket. For standard tonearms, leave the weight in place as usual. For low-mass tonearms, you have the ability to remove the weight, reducing the cartridge weigh to just 2.5g.
